Creative Background & Design Concept
This collaboration draws inspiration from NANA, a культ classic manga that follows the intertwined lives of two young women—Nana Osaki, a bold punk-rock singer, and Nana Komatsu, a gentle dreamer navigating love and adulthood. The story is celebrated for its raw emotions, individuality, and exploration of friendship, ambition, and identity.
Skullpanda reimagines the essence of NANA through its distinctive art toy language, blending skull-faced character design with contemporary street fashion and expressive body language. The result is a figure that captures both the emotional intensity of the original story and the modern, rebellious spirit of Skullpanda, transforming anime nostalgia into a collectible art form.
