About the MAYMEI IP and Designer

MAYMEI is a beloved collectible character brand known for its whimsical yet moody stylistic direction. The IP often combines elements of fantasy, softness, and emotional storytelling. Designed by creative artists inspired by woodland folklore and magical realms, Maymei characters often express personality traits through their atmosphere-rich designs. Though the specific individual designer isn’t always highlighted, the brand’s aesthetic has become synonymous with quality plush collectibles that appeal to both adult collectors and younger blind box fans alike. Its growing popularity across blind box communities underscores its unique visual language and collectible appeal.

Series Concept: Dark Forest

The Dark Forest Series brings Maymei to life in a mystical, moonlit woodland setting. Drawing inspiration from gothic fairy tales and curious forest spirits, each character adds a new narrative to the overarching theme of mysterious woodland life. These aren’t ordinary plushies—they’re designed to evoke wonder, introspection, and playful enchantment in every detail.

Series Styles and Characters

Each MAYMEI Dark Forest Series Plush Blind Box includes 6 regular collectible designs plus 1 rare hidden character, making a total of 7 possible designs to discover:

1. Crazy Ada – A blindfolded bunny who embodies forgotten dreams and curiosity.

2. Bear Bell – A contemplative bear waiting deep within the hollow tree.

3. Vampire – A moonlit bat-like figure with subtle gothic charm.

4. Fiend · White – A humming demon curled upon a whimsical cloud.

5. Axel · Black – A gentle demon that wanders beneath starlit skies.

6. Ghost Elda – A luminous, ghostly cat with a removable cloak.

7. Hidden: Blood Rose – A secret plush figure representing a withered, glowing bloom in the Dark Forest—rare and highly sought after by collectors.

The regular styles offer a delightful range of spooky-cute personalities, blending plush softness with imaginative narrative charm. The hidden Blood Rose edition has a 1:72 pull rate, making it highly desirable and adding the classic blind box chase element to the series.

Material and Quality

Crafted with a premium blend of materials, the Dark Forest Series plush toys use polyester fabric and ABS elements to create a soft yet durable collectible. The exterior plush is gentle to the touch, while embroidered and molded ABS details bring expressive features and character accents to life. These plushies are designed with attention to detail, ensuring they feel huggable yet maintain shape and display quality over time.

Size and Physical Dimensions

Each plush figure stands approximately 18 cm (about 7.1 inches) in height, a size that makes them perfect for display on shelves, desktop décor, or as part of a larger blind box collection. Because this product comes in a blind box, the exact style inside is a mystery until opened, preserving the excitement typical of collectible blind toys. Slight variations in size and color are normal due to manufacturing and photography differences.

Unboxing and Collectibility

The Dark Forest Series embraces the thrilling blind box experience. Every sealed box contains:

• One plush figure randomly selected from the 6 regular designs or the rare Blood Rose secret design.

• An accompanying collector’s ID card to catalog your character.

The unpredictability of blind box contents enhances the unboxing fun and encourages repeat purchases as collectors attempt to complete their full set. For dedicated fans, purchasing a whole set increases the chance of owning all regular styles and potentially discovering the rare secret edition.
