Discover what's inside the POP MART Disney Steamboat Willie Series blind boxes. A quick guide to the vintage-style figures, their collectible appeal, and who should buy them.
Quick answer
Each POP MART Disney Steamboat Willie Series blind box contains one stylized, officially licensed figure inspired by Mickey Mouse's 1928 debut. The series is a blind box, so you won't know which figure you get until you open it.
Why the Steamboat Willie series stands out
This series draws directly from the classic black-and-white Steamboat Willie short, giving each figure a vintage, nostalgic look that feels different from modern Disney merchandise. The stylized design by POP MART adds a contemporary collectible twist to the century-old character.
Because it's a blind box, the surprise element is part of the fun. Each figure is a unique take on the original design, and collectors often enjoy trading to complete the set.
What you should know before buying
The figures are sold in sealed boxes, and there is no way to tell which figure is inside without opening. If you're after a specific figure, you may need to buy multiple boxes or trade with other collectors.
The price per box is relatively affordable for a licensed designer collectible, but the blind box format means the total cost to get a full set can add up quickly.
How to decide if this series is for you
- Love vintage Disney?: If you're a fan of classic Mickey Mouse and early animation, this series offers a rare stylized tribute. The black-and-white aesthetic is a deliberate departure from modern color figures. Great for nostalgia-driven collectors.
- Blind box buyer?: Each box is a surprise. If you enjoy the thrill of unboxing and don't mind duplicates, this series is a fun addition. If you need a specific figure, consider trading or buying from resellers after launch. Not ideal if you must have a complete set without extra cost.
- Budget-minded?: At around $19 per box, it's accessible for a single purchase. But completing the set may require multiple boxes. Set a budget before you start. Best for collectors who enjoy the hunt over guaranteed completion.
